Our EBM22HV Elastomer Buoys improve maritime safety at the Port of Bahía de Algeciras

Published on Thursday, 13 July of 2023

Our elastomer buoys are already installed at the Port of Bahía de Algeciras to mark two secondary navigation channels following the current IALA Recommendations, reflected in the latest revision of the Technical Guide for the Development of Maritime Aids to Navigation Projects of Spanish State Ports (GEPAN).

These are three EBM22HV buoys, two of them for starboard marking (green) and one for port marking (red). The chosen model has a high visibility design, and it is equipped with a beacon support, solar modules, space for battery storage, passive radar reflector, galvanized steel tail and removable counterweights. In addition, the float, manufactured with closed-cell polyethylene foam sheet and with a coloured polyurethane elastomer coat, provides high impact resistance without deformation.

Our MBL160 LED marine lantern, a flashing lantern with excellent optical efficiency and low consumption, completes the equipment of these buoys designed to guarantee the safety of maritime traffic in the Port of Bahía de Algeciras.
