The Bay of Cádiz Potr Authority has relied on our long-range LED range lights to guarantee the safety of maritime traffic in the entrance channel to the Port of Cádiz.
The entrance channel to the Port of Cádiz has a leading line that is formed by an aligned system of lights and towers that mark the entrance axis, thus supporting the lateral marking system. These towers also work as day marks, by means of identification panels visible in the daytime from the vessels control bridge, and have a structure designed to withstand winds of up to 200 km/h.
The previous lights of this leading line have been replaced by our range light model MRL43. A humidity-resistant beacon which represents an innovation within leading line systems thanks to the use of the state-of-the-art LED technology and a high-accuracy optical system stabilized against vibrations. It is featured by a double RS-232 serial port for programming via PC and remote control, and it has an external electronic control unit. Furthermore, the MRL43 light produces a unidirectional beam with a horizontal divergence of 4.3º and has a range of 4 NM.
In short, a beacon whose features guarantee a long service life and optimal performance, thus making the waters of the port of Cádiz a safe place for navigation.
